Description

Piers and walls to the east of Number 1 Tynemouth Camp Terrace, built around 1800, are notable features that include carriage and pedestrian entrances along with boundary walls. The piers are made of rusticated ashlar and are topped with ball finials on incurved pedestals. The carriage entrance is flanked by two tall square piers, while the pedestrian entrances are formed by two smaller square piers with low curved coping. Similar piers also mark the ends of the boundary wall to the north and south, which features low sloped coping.
