Description

Nos. 6 and 7, Spring Terrace, Tynemouth, are a pair of houses dating to circa 1830, located on the east side of Spring Terrace in North Shields. The houses are constructed of English garden wall bond brick with painted ashlar dressings and a plinth, topped by a Welsh slate roof with flat stone gable copings. Each house is two storeys high and has two bays. The front doors, located in the first bays, are panelled – the door to No. 6 has an overlight with a patterned design – and are set within flat Tuscan doorcases. The sash windows have glazing bars and are topped with stone wedge lintels. Sill bands run along the front. The houses have banded brick chimneys. Internal window shutters are visible at No. 7.
