Description

Wesley Memorial Fountain is a drinking fountain dated 1891, located on the south side of the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne. It was erected by the Corporation of Newcastle to commemorate John Wesley. The fountain is made of pink and grey granite, featuring a pink obelisk with a "W" carved on each face, set on a grey plinth adorned with carved palmette decoration. It has a square pink base, a low square trough on one side, and a basin on the opposite side.
