Description

The Tyne Public House is a public house built in 1904 by E. Bowman. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with four windows. The pub front on the ground floor has a bracketed fascia cornice and a corner entrance. Above, there are four sash windows with wide architraves and glazing bars. The eaves have a string course and a dentilled cornice. Two dormers with sashes are set under pediments. An ashlar string and cornice adorn the left end of the brick chimney, which sits on a steeply-pitched hipped roof. The building is currently empty and derelict. It is noted for its group value with surrounding structures.
