Description

Nos. 58-72 on Low Friar Street are late 18th-century houses that have been converted into shops. They are constructed of English garden wall bond brick and feature a pantiled roof. The building rises three storeys and consists of 12 bays in total. There are six 19th-century shop fronts, each with a bracketed fascia cornice. Above the sash windows, which mostly have glazing bars, are soldier courses, and the windows are set in wide boxes with shallow reveals. The steeply-pitched roof is topped with four high ridge chimneys. At the time of the survey, the building was empty, and part of the shop fascias on the left had been removed.
