Description
Nos. 48 and 50 Jesmond Road are two houses that were formerly part of a terrace, built around 1842. They are constructed of English bond brick with painted ashlar dressings and a basement, featuring slate-hung panels on the left return and a Welsh slate roof. The buildings have a basement and three storeys, with each house comprising three bays. They have 8-panelled doors with overlights framed in architraves on the right side, and wedge stone lintels above the sash windows, with glazing bars present on the ground floor of No. 48. The first floor has projecting stone sills and painted recessed apron panels. The eaves feature a cornice, and the low-pitched roof is topped with banded brick chimneys.
