Description
The Lodge is an estate lodge built in 1883. It is constructed of red brick with terracotta detailing and features plain tiled roofs with decorative barge boards. The building is single storey and has a moulded plinth and an elaborate terracotta sill band.
The main facade includes a large canted wooden bay window on the right, which has deeply coved eaves adorned with two rows of plaster panels; the lower panel displays the date 1883. In the center, there is a wooden lean-to porch supported by turned wooden columns and balusters, which is now glazed. To the left of the porch, there is a single 4-light casement window topped with a painted terracotta pediment featuring a swag.
On the right side of the building, there is a central wall stack with decorative terracotta panels at its base. To the left of this stack is a single light casement window with a rounded pediment, and to the right is a 2-light casement window with a broader similar pediment. The left side of the building features a single French window with a simple segmental lintel. There is also a small single storey extension at the rear.
