Description
The tomb of Thomas Oliver is located in Jesmond Cemetery, approximately 140 metres north-east of the gateway. It dates from around 1857 and serves as a memorial to Thomas Oliver, an architect who lived at 3 Picton Place, Newcastle, and died on 9 December 1857, as well as his wife who passed away in 1886. The tomb is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a panelled pedestal with an egg-and-dart moulded cornice that supports an octagonal column topped with an urn finial.
