Description

High Hedgefield House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features incised render with a plinth and sandstone quoins, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three windows.

On the east elevation, there is a central six-panelled door with an architrave and bracketed cornice, which is topped by an oblong fanlight. Flanking this door are 19th-century canted bay windows, and there is a sill band for the first-floor sashes. Giant corner pilasters support the eaves band and cornice. The west elevation includes a round-headed window with intersecting glazing bars, which has been reset in the 19th-century addition. The roof features low coped gabled parapets and two ridge chimneys.
