Description
Nos 123 and 125 on Kells Lane are a substantial villa from the mid-19th century that has been divided into two houses. No 123 features ashlar stonework with moulded eaves, a low blocking course, and a slated roof with stone copings. It has corniced ashlar end stacks and two large canted dormers added. A prominent two-storey canted bay on the right has sash windows with margin lights, while other windows are also sashes with glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a heavy Ionic doorcase with engaged fluted columns.
No 125 is constructed of coursed squared stone and has a Welsh slate roof. This house is two storeys tall with two windows, featuring flush quoined surrounds to modern windows and a cornice hood above the door. No 125 is included in the listing mainly for its group value with No 123.
