Description

Thornlea is an early 19th-century building, originally part of the larger Sherriff Hill Hall. It is constructed of ashlar, with a low-pitched hipped slate roof. The left side features two ashlar chimney stacks with cornice bands and plinths. The building has two storeys and three bays. The projecting left bay is of rubble construction and may incorporate an older building. Modern windows are present throughout, with the exception of one window in the projecting bay. A doorpiece with two Greek Ionic columns in antis is also present.
