Description
The Greek Temple, located to the northwest of Wynyard Hall, dates from the early to mid-18th century and is likely the work of architect Benjamin Wyatt. The temple features an ashlar front with rendered brick walls at the back and sides. It is raised on a podium accessed by five stone steps. The structure includes a tetrastyle Greek Doric portico supported by fluted columns, along with an entablature and a pediment. Inside, there is a pedestal against the back wall that holds a plaster cast statuary group.
