Description
Nos 23 and 25 High Street is an 18th-century pair of houses that appear as a single structure. The building is finished in stucco with incised lines over brick and has a pantiled roof with a central brick chimney stack. It stands three storeys high and features three windows. The late 19th-century sash windows are framed with wooden architraves. On the ground floor, there are two small later 19th-century square bay shop windows that share a broken-back entablature with two four-panel doors, which have oblong fanlights and are accessed by two steps. The entire ground floor is defined by end pilasters. At the rear, there is a gable-ended wing that is not finished in stucco.
