Description

49 High Street is an early to mid-18th century building constructed of local brick. It features a cement bolection moulded eaves cornice and a high-pitched pantiled roof with a chimney at the left end. The building has gauged brick flat arches above the 18th-century sash windows, which include glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a Victorian six-panel door with an oblong fanlight set in a contemporary classical doorcase. To the right, there is a fairly plain modern shop front.
