Description

No. 55 High Street is a building from the late 17th century or early 18th century that has been altered over time. It features rendered walls and a pantiled roof with a chimney at one end. The structure is two and a half storeys tall and has two bays. There is one upper window in a returned gable that breaks the eaves, which has a raised stucco diamond above a cornice at the eaves level. The other upper window is an early 19th-century sash with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are late 19th-century sash windows with stone cills. The ground floor has plain modern shop fronts.
