Description
Nos 57 and 57A on High Street in Yarm are early to mid-18th century buildings that have been converted into two units. They each stand three storeys tall, featuring two upper windows on a returned gable that breaks the eaves, which are modern copies of the design found on No 55. The buildings are rough rendered and topped with a pantile roof, and they have a rebuilt central chimney stack. The gables have vertical sash windows, while the first floor displays late 19th-century sash windows in exposed frames, with stuccoed lintels and stone cills. The ground floor has two small modern shop fronts that share a fascia and include two glazed doors with plain fanlights, framed by grooved pilasters.
