Description
Nos 51 and 53 on High Street in Yarm are a pair of early to mid-18th century buildings featuring a through passage design. They are constructed of local brick, with the roof recently replaced with modern slates. The buildings rise three storeys and have a total of four windows. On the second floor, there are two low early 19th century sash windows and two Yorkshire lights. The first floor also has early 19th century sash windows, all of which include glazing bars. The first-floor windows are framed in wooden architraves beneath flat gauged brick arches, and the lower level has two plain modern shop fronts.
