Description
No. 1 Brunswick Street is an early 19th-century building that stands large with two storeys and three windows. It is constructed of brick, featuring stout stucco lintels. The building has a stone former doorcase, stone cills, and steps leading to a portico. The wooden eaves cornice is adorned with modillions separated by panels, and there is a cast iron gutter. The sash windows have a moulded flush frame. On the ground floor, two four-light square bays were added at the same time as the projecting porch. The porch is a fluted Roman Doric portico that complements the fluted Greek Doric doorcase, which includes a spoked fanlight, a six-pane door, and panelled reveals. There is also a blocked round-headed window in the north gable.
