Description
11 Finkle Street is a building of 1877, constructed in a coarse style inspired by the late Tudor period. It is three storeys high, with three plate glass sash windows on each floor. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings, featuring quoins, a plinth, cill bands, parapet coping, and kneelers. A full-height square gabled bay is located on the right side, incorporating a vestica-shaped opening with a label in the gable. To the left of this bay is a first and second-floor oriel window, featuring three lights with a parapet mitred around it. The oriel is topped with a turreted roof and moulded kneelers, with blind cascading elements leading to the parapet. Decorative panels are present within the first-floor cill band and cap bands to the two tall chimneys. A pointed doorway is located on the left side, featuring "1877" within the spandrels. The building's layout is roughly 'H' shaped.
The rear elevation is visible when approaching the Green Dragon Yard complex and is of early 19th century date. It has a flipped roof and two storeys with two windows. The first floor features glazing bar sash windows, with paired windows on the left and blocked windows on the ground floor. The rear elevation is built of brick, with a section of older stone side wall. A door is positioned on the right side of the rear elevation.
