Description

The barn, screen wall, and privy located on the north side of Manor Farmhouse date from the mid to late 18th century, with a barn extension and privy added in the mid to late 19th century. The structure is built of brick and features clay pantile roofs, which are topped with stone ridge copings and brick gable copings. The barn has cart openings on the north and south faces, each with timber lintels and mid-20th century sliding doors. These openings are flanked by chevron-pattern breathers on both the ground and first floors, while the east gable end has blocked openings. The eaves are stepped in brick, and the roof is hipped at the east end, with a similar extension on the west side. A short screen wall extends east from the barn's north-east corner. Adjoining the south side of this wall is a privy with a monopitch roof, featuring a boarded door set under a stone lintel. An early to mid-20th century lean-to on the north side of the barn is not considered of special interest. This building is included for its group value.
