Description
The boundary walls surrounding the ruins of St. Mary's Priory are located to the northeast, east, and southeast. These walls were built between the mid-18th century and the mid-19th century and are primarily made of dressed sandstone. The southeast wall features alternating bands of brick and stone on its southern side. The eastern wall includes a ha-ha design, topped with a single row of barbed iron spikes. Ball finials adorn the corners and ends of the walls. These structures are included for their group value with the nearby St. Mary's Priory ruins.
