Description
Shrubberies Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1800, with a slightly later barn attached to the left. The cottage is constructed of dressed sandstone, while the barn is of coursed rubble. Both have clay pantile roofs; the cottage roof has been renewed, with stone ridge and gable copings, block kneelers, and stacks rebuilt in brick. The cottage is two storeys high with two windows. It features a boarded front door on the left and an enlarged ground-floor window opening. Mid-20th century metal casement windows are present. It has end stacks. The single-storey barn has an off-centre boarded door, and a double-leaf boarded door in its left return. A horizontal sash window with glazing bars is located on the first floor at the rear of the cottage.
