Description
Derwent Bridge is a bridge dated 1829. It is constructed from square tooled stone with tooled-and-margined dressings. The bridge has a slightly hog-back shape and features a segmental arch. The arch ring extends into a band below the parapet, which has a date tablet positioned above the center. The parapets have sloped coping and end in pilasters topped with low pyramidal caps. On the east side, there are curving wing walls that have similar coping. This bridge is also known as Ratchwoodford Bridge.
