Description
This cottage, likely built in the early to mid 19th century, consists of two sections and is located on the east bay of High Town House. It features coursed rubble construction with stone dressings, stone-flagged and Welsh slate roofs, and both stone and brick chimneys. The cottage is two storeys tall and has three bays, situated on a sloping site. The left bay is taller and has replaced casement windows set in raised surrounds, with a stone-flagged roof that is hipped on the left and a stone chimney. The two bays on the right have similar window styles and a 20th-century doorway, with a Welsh slate roof and a rebuilt brick chimney on the right. There is a 19th-century outshut at the left rear, while a late 20th-century addition on the right rear is not of special interest. The cottage is included for its group value with High Town House.
