Description

High Luzley is a late 18th or early 19th century byre house located in Knaresdale with Kirkhaigh. The building is constructed of squared rubble with dressings, and has a stone slate roof. A stone stack stands on the left gable, while the right gable stack has been rebuilt in brick. The house faces uphill, with access to the basement byre at the rear. The front elevation has two storeys and two bays. An off-centre boarded door provides access. The windows have lost their original carpentry. The rear elevation is three storeys high, featuring two doorways and slit vents serving the byre, in addition to a small window above. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
