Description

This is an early 19th-century villa located on Corbridge Road. It is a single-storey building, three windows deep, with an annexe extending to the northwest. The front facade features a four-window portico supported by three four-centred arches resting on octagonal columns; the central arch is wider than the side arches. The windows are four-centred arched, with horizontal glazing in sash windows and 'Y' tracery in the heads, with matching glazed panels below. The doors are similarly designed to the windows. Niches flank the entrances. A plaster mask is incorporated into the eaves soffit above each window. The corners of the building are slightly emphasized, and the east side is treated in a similar style. The interior features a central hall with a shallow dome and large, reeded doorcases.
