Description

The terrace wall located below the lower garden, 180 metres south-west of Beaufront Castle, was built in 1911. It features squared stone dressings and stands 1.5 metres high with a flat coping. A central square-headed recess contains a large projecting channeled stone with an inscribed tablet that reads, "DRAIN USED IN A STREET OF CORSTOPITUM ABOUT 150 AD AND BROUGHT HERE 1911." This structure is included for its group value.
