Description
Woodhead Cottages is a terrace of two houses, originally three, dating from the 18th century and remodelled with the addition of a first floor in the later 19th century. The cottages are constructed of roughly-squared stone with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high and feature six irregular bays. The second and fourth bays have boarded doors set in irregular-block surrounds, while a similar door in the sixth bay has been blocked and replaced with a window. The windows are primarily 12-pane Yorkshire sash types, except for the 20th-century small-paned casements in the first two bays. The eaves overhang at the left gable end, and there are end and two ridge stacks.
