Description
Lowshield Green Farmhouse and Stable is a farmhouse and attached stable built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays, with a lower three-bay garage and stable located to the right. The layout is L-shaped, with a second span at the angle of the L.
The main entrance features a door with six flush panels and an overlight, set within a slightly chamfered surround. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in plain reveals with projecting sills.
The attached wing on the right includes a late 20th-century garage door on the left and a plank door in an alternating-block surround on the right. There is a half-slatted window between these two doors, and a 6-pane sash window above.
The rear of the building displays irregular fenestration, featuring both 12-pane and 4-pane sashes, as well as one 20th-century casement window. The roof is gabled, with a stone corniced ridge and end stacks.
