Description

The Smith headstone, dating from 1756, is located 2 metres south-west of the porch of the Church of St. Andrew. It is made of sandstone and features a shaped top that encloses a sunk panel. This panel displays a mask flanked by serpentine draperies hung from crowns, above upraised arms, a circled snake, and a scythe. The headstone bears an inscription dedicated to Joseph Smith.
