Description
The tunnel entrance and chamber, located 20 metres east of the bridge in the parishes of Allendale and West Allen, is a portal for a drainage tunnel dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared stone and features an elliptical-arched entrance with a flat coping. Inside, the entrance leads into an arched chamber approximately 2 metres square, which has two arched drainage adits extending from it.
