Description
The Charlton tomb, located 13 metres south of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, is a box tomb dating from 1713. It is made of sandstone and features a cover slab inscribed to Jane, the daughter of John Charlton, as well as later family members. The tomb has panelled sides and ends, with the east end intricately carved with a death's head, crossbones, and an hourglass.
