Description

The gatepiers and quadrant walls to Grove Cottage date from the mid-19th century and are constructed of stone. The squared stone piers have chamfered angles and support pyramidal caps topped with ball finials. The drystone quadrant walls feature roughly arched coping, and there is a 'V R' letter box set into the wall next to the north pier. These structures once provided access to Newbiggin Hall and are included for their group value.
