Description

The bridge over the Shildon Burn in Blanchland is likely from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared stone and features a recessed segmental arch. The parapets have chamfered coping and splay out at the ends to the west, where they end in low square piers topped with swept pyramidal caps.
