Description

These buildings at 19-23 Green Batt, and 1 Howick Street, are part of the Howick Street development, dating to the 1830s. They are ashlar-built, with a first-floor cill band and eaves band, and have slate roofs with three chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, and the external doors are flush panel.

Numbers 19 and 1 Howick Street form a taller pavilion at the Percy Street corner, featuring a chamfered eaves course and a hipped corner. They are now a Congregational Hall. Number 21 has a small, contemporary shop front with three pilaster strips and a common fascia above double doors and a window. An archway leads to Gill's Lane, providing a view up the cobbled passage to Lisburn Street.
