Description
Cookswell House is a house dated 1768, as indicated by the lintel. It is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond, with tooled sandstone dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. The south elevation features two storeys and three bays, with a first-floor band. A 20th-century six-pane casement window is positioned left-of-centre within a blocked doorway that has a chamfered surround. The other windows are six-pane sashes with wedge lintels. Rebuilt end stacks are present, and the left gable shows tumbled-in brickwork. A lower range to the left has been altered and is not of particular architectural interest.
