Description
Druridge Farmhouse is a house, probably built in the early 18th century and enlarged in the early 19th century. It has a T-plan layout. The front is made of squared stone, while the rest of the building is constructed from rubble, except for the early 19th-century rear wing, which is made of squared stone with tooled-and-margined dressings. The roof is covered with pantiles, although it was originally thatched.
The house is two storeys high and has five bays. In the second bay, there is a six-panel door with a three-pane overlight above it, and the windows are late 19th-century sashes. The gables are raised with copings, and the end and ridge stacks have been rebuilt in brick on their original bases. The returns of the building feature reverse-stepped gables.
On the rear elevation, the rear wing has a coped gable and a brick stack, along with pent outshuts and 12-pane sashes on the east side. Set back to the left of the wing is a gabled stair projection that has a boarded door and a six-pane casement window above it.
