Description
Farm buildings and attached yard walls located to the northeast of Druridge Farmhouse date from the 18th century and early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble with stone dressings and feature slate roofs, except for the barn, which has pantiles. The layout is F-shaped, with the barn situated at the south end of a north-south range and twin yards on the east side. At the south end of the barn, a former cottage on the west connects to the farmhouse. The elevations facing the yards display boarded doors and segmental arches, all within chamfered surrounds, along with stone benches designed to support feeding racks. The range that divides the yards concludes with a loose box featuring a rebated segmental arch on the east side. The yard walls are topped with arched coping. The south elevation reveals a reverse-stepped gable end of the barn and the former cottage, which includes a boarded door, a 12-pane Yorkshire sash window, and a brick chimney stack. This is a picturesque and largely unaltered group, incorporating some re-used carved fragments from Chibburn Preceptory.
