Description

This limekiln, located approximately 700 yards north of Warenton, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a hexagonal front with three large round-headed openings that are corbelled down to round-headed drawing eyes. A curved ramp, supported by a dressed-stone retaining wall, leads to the top of the kiln, which contains a stone-lined pot.
