Description

The south gateway to Belford Hall, located on Belford Main Street, is a structure likely designed in 1818 by John Dobson. It features gatepiers and screen walls made of ashlar stone. The square piers are adorned with palmette friezes and topped with pyramidal caps. The larger outer piers also have pyramidal caps. The convex screen walls extend approximately 40 yards in length and are finished with roll-moulded coping, terminating in square piers.
