Description
Erskine Manse is a former Presbyterian manse that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of random whinstone rubble with sandstone dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance includes a panelled door with an overlight above it, and the windows are 12-pane sashes. The roof is steeply pitched with gables and raised coping, featuring an old brick stack on the right end and a renewed brick stack on the left end. Inside, the manse includes six-panel doors, shutters, and a staircase with stick balusters. There is also an early 20th-century brick wing added to the rear.
