Description

South Lodge to Belford Hall is a lodge, likely built in 1818 by John Dobson. It is constructed of ashlar with a moulded plinth and has a Scottish slate roof. The lodge is a single-story building with three bays, and features one-bay canted returns. A porch supported by four square Tuscan piers provides access. The main entrance is a panelled door with an overlight. It has 12-pane sash windows with sill bands and pilaster strips at each corner. A moulded cornice and stone eaves run along the top of the lodge. The roof is hipped with a banded ridge stack.
