Description
This building is an outbuilding located 50 metres south-west of Penpeugh Farmhouse, dated WA on the lintel and incorporating earlier fabric from 1751. It now serves as an agricultural store. The structure is built of rubble with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. It is a single-storey building with two bays. The central boarded door features a chamfered surround and alternating jambs, and it is flanked by two blocked 2-light chamfered mullioned windows. On the rear elevation, there is an inserted cart entrance that is spanned by a re-set 16th-century moulded beam, which is similar to one found at Partridge Nest Farmhouse and likely originates from Willimontswick. To the left, there is a low blocked doorway with a monolithic lintel typical of bastle houses. The interior has not been seen.
