Description
Penpeugh Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house that is now used as an agricultural store. It is built of rubble with tooled raised quoins and dressings, and features a stone slate roof with coped gables and stone stepped stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows arranged symmetrically. The central entrance consists of a flush-panelled door with alternating jambs. The windows are 12-pane sashes, although the central window on the first floor has lost its original carpentry. The right and left elevations are rendered, and the gables have open pediments. At the rear, there is a flight of steps leading up to a boarded door with an alternating surround, along with similar windows and a 12-pane stair window. Inside, the farmhouse retains many original features, including a staircase with a ramped handrail and shaped tread ends, fireplaces, and panelled shutters.
