Description
The settling tank and drain outlet, located 120 metres northwest of Unthank Hall, is a drainage structure dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a diamond-plan settling tank with squared stone walls and three drain entrances. The tank has slab-roofed drains leading to the north and south. The drain outlet is situated on the south bank of Linn Burn. An access track from the northeast is terraced into the slope, supported by rubble revetment walls both above and below.
