Description

Church View, located at number 20 Southside in Matfen, is an early 19th-century house constructed of ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The central entrance consists of a two-leaf, six-panel door topped by a five-pane overlight, all set within a raised alternating-block surround. The windows are twelve-pane sashes with projecting sills. The gabled roof has flat coping and banded end stacks. To the left of the main house, there is a single-storey outbuilding that includes a boarded door and a Yorkshire sash window.
