Description

Stocks located by the Town Hall on Marygate are a listed structure. They are railed around and positioned on the pavement just outside the Town Hall. The stocks feature six leg-holes in a single timber cross bar, which is set in round-topped wooden end uprights. Originally, these stocks were situated outside the Scots Gate on Castlegate.
