Description

Nos 2 and 4 Eastern Lane are a pair of 18th-century buildings that are part of the return side of No 39 Marygate. Both buildings are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a good cornice. No 2 has an impressive doorcase with imposts and stands three storeys tall with five windows. No 4 continues the same design as No 2, also three storeys high, with a good cornice and a gable scroll, and has four windows. Together, Nos 2 and 4, along with Nos 37 to 67 (odd) Marygate, form a cohesive architectural group.
