Description

The churchyard gates of the Church of St Mary and St Michael date from the mid-19th century. They feature octagonal piers that stand about 9 feet high on bases that are spurred on the south side. The piers are topped with bell-shaped caps and have an arcaded corbel table cornice. The gates are connected by a cast iron arch adorned with wrought iron scrolls. The pair of gates has arrowhead designs, is doubled at the base, and is flanked by axe-head piers.
