Description
Number 2, The Tanner's Arms, and Numbers 4 and 6 are early 19th-century buildings located on Hotspur Place. They are two storeys tall, with Number 2 featuring three windows, while Numbers 4 and 6 each have two. The inn has a curved corner and one window facing Hotspur Street. The buildings are constructed of ashlar and have an eaves band, with slate roofs that have raised verges, except for one curve. There are four brick chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sash types with segmental heads on Numbers 4 and 6. Numbers 2 and 4 have doors positioned to the left, while Number 6 has a door located off-centre to the right. On the curved section, there is a raised panel with moulded capping inscribed with 'Brewers' Arms'.
